Our Profile of the Month this month is our beautiful Michelle Weymouth. I first met Michelle at our information night in January this year. I could tell she was sceptical to begin with. Anyone who had tried a number of things to help improve their health and fitness usually are, and I don’t blame them.
By the end of the session Michelle wore a smile that will never leave my memory. I could see in her eyes she had new hope. This always warms my heart.
From the very first training session Michelle was totally committed and determined, putting her head down and getting on with the job. She has put in 110% to every single training session and always challenges herself to do more. She is an absolute legend and inspiration to everyone around her. You can tell how hard she works from her results. In just 6 months Michelle has dropped a total of 62cm from around her body with 13cm being from around her waist.
I can see her confidence rise with every centimetre that drops. Her gorgeous smile is bigger and brighter and totally infectious! Her training buddies and all of us coaches absolutely adore Michelle and the energetic warm vibe she brings with her.
Michelle, I know you aren’t where you want to be yet, but I am truly honoured, blessed and super excited to be part of your journey! Thank you for choosing us and letting us share your awesome progress. I am so friggen proud of you and can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings. Keep up the awesome work hun!
Here is Michelle’s story in her words:
“Before starting at Terrific Fitness I had tried a couple of gyms as well as some other group training classes. This was on and off over the years as I couldn’t find a program that was right for me. I was sick of suffering with lower back issues and got more frustrated when participating in classes it got worse due to the type of exercise I was doing. I would lose interest and go back to doing nothing. I felt older than I was and worried about what I was going to be like in 10 or 20 years!
I knew I wanted to do group fitness because if left to my own devices I wouldn’t push myself. I searched for fitness centres in the area and came across Terrific Fitness. I started following their Facebook page and when I saw an information night coming up I registered. After going along and listening to Terri I knew I had found the place, everything Terri said resonated with me and there were a large number of classes to choose from that fit in with my work and family’s schedule.
I started training 3 – 4 times a week and am still training the same amount.
I started in February of this year and the main change for me has been my mindset and enjoyment of exercising. I look forward to my classes, the people who I have met are friendly and supportive and the best part is that the trainers know ME. I am not just another number in a group.
Due to strengthening my core I have now got rid of my lower back pain and I feel stronger and better within myself.
Seeing the improvements I have achieved over the last 6 months motivates me to keep going and see how much better I can get!
