My client wishes to remain anonymous but would also like to share the story they have been through to benefit the other members of the Terrific Fitness (TF) Community so that they can benefit from the experience and inspiration to which it made a difference to their health journey, as it may for others wishing to undertake a change in their lifestyle.
My client is a dedicated carer for a child with a disability that requires constant care. The dedication and love shown has inspired stories within itself of love and devotion to a family circle so that their child has the best chance at life. The devotion has come at a cost of my client’s own health to a certain degree. My client reached out to TF upon hearing of our ‘28 Day Menopause Transformation Program’ that helps women through certain stages in life and guides them through balancing choices, realizations in habits and aiding to changing them for the better. Dissatisfied with their current gym environment, my client found a group of like minded people in TF, and a level of attention and guidance that could really make a difference, and a coach with skills and paid attention to their needs in time, food choices, likes and dislikes and capabilities (physical movements).
Participation in group classes, although not as often as would have liked, due to the constraints of being a full time carer, the classes and interaction with other members provided a sanctuary of release and escape to recharge and feel comfortable. Being around good people that respect you counts for much. A stepped approached to specialized Personal Training (PT) developed valuable skills in movement and has helped to a beneficial degree, my client’s ability to do basic exercises and feel freer. There have also been in-depth food counseling sessions and know how on balance food intake, reading labels on food products, eating for better hormone balances, and learning of the detriments of processed and sugar based foods. Indeed, it has become one of the biggest turn arounds in giving up sugar foods and drinks that has made a difference to my client’s success the figures below will show.
For four weeks we tracked the measurements and body composition levels to see what differences changes in food and physical activity changes would have an effect on.
One of the biggest factors that shocked my client was the metabolic age factor that begun with an older (and undesirable) reading, but over the course of 4 weeks was able to bring back to near their own age as a result of beneficial changes made during the program. By doing daily food diaries, accountability had developed, sleep patterns improved, water intake improved, better sense of food awareness and a regular and discipline pattern of vitamins and mineral supplement intake developed. - Visceral Fat level: 1 level loss
- Body Fat percent 2.4% loss
- Metabolic age: 66 down to 58 years of age
- Quality of sleep: 5 point increase

“As a result of COVID & Lockdown, my diet was very bad. My weight was stable, but I want to get to my goal weight. I need to lose 10Kg to get to goal weight. My diet was not improving without accountability.
I changed my diet radically. I cut out chocolate & iced coffees. I increased water intake, I also got back into class training which I found hard coming out of lockdowns and gyms closed.
I dropped 3 kg. Although its only 3 kg, my goal weight is so much closer and seems so much more doable now that I have actually been able drop my weight. I feel it is more than 3kg, in the way my body looks more slim.
